2. According to the purpose: dry sandpaper (wood sandpaper), used to polish the surface of wood, bamboo, metal, or other objects; water-resistant sandpaper (water sandpaper), used to polish metal or non-metal workpieces and surfaces with water or oil polishing.

3. According to the product name: wood sandpaper, that is, dry sandpaper; water sandpaper, that is, water-resistant sandpaper; iron sandpaper, a kind of dry sandpaper, which is thicker and can polish the metal surface as soon as possible.
In addition, according to the binder: ordinary binder polishing material sandpaper; resin binder sandpaper. There are also coarse sandpaper and fine sandpaper.

 

Notes on the production process:

 

1. The base paper does not match the adhesive. Due to the production process of the base paper, the process is adjusted accordingly for the production of different quality paper by the manufacturer of the coated abrasive polishing material, but the use process is different. It is not suitable for materials with low bond strength as sandpaper binder, otherwise, it will affect the wear resistance. Durability. If the sandpaper production process is not properly controlled, brittleness will occur, resulting in cracks, plastic sand, and paper peeling off.

 

2. Different base papers are used for sandpaper with different thicknesses and grain sizes. The base paper should be heavy in weight for coarse mesh, and light in weight for fine mesh.

 

In terms of the plane smoothness of the base paper, due to the fine sand grains and the small amount of gluing, the smoothness of the paper surface should be high, so there should be no paper wool on the surface. The coarse mesh is relatively looser.
